Alaskan Cruise

Adam and I went on an Alaskan Cruise at the beginning of June. Lydia went to Texas and stayed with Sweetie and Grandad and had a great time doing new things with them and Uncle Reagan (and getting spoiled only a little! :o).  Even though we missed our little girl tons, we had a wonderful, relaxing, rejuvenating time.  We took SO many pictures - I tried to pick out the best and most interesting to share!

Our balcony room on the Norwegian Pearl.

Standing on our balcony while scenic cruising up the coast of Alaska. It was cold!

Sailing into Juneau.

Helicopter ride up to the Mendenhall Glacier.

View of the glacier from the helicopter.

Getting ready for our hike on the glacier!

Base camp on the glacier for the guides and the helicopters.

In Skagway, we went on the "Glacier Point Wilderness Safari." This was on the boat on the way to Glacier Point.

Sea lions we saw while on the boat.

After hiking through the rainforest (yes, Alaska has a rainforest!), we canoed up to the glacier.

In the canoe.

View from other side of canoe. It was so beautiful there!

Waterfall we viewed on the boat ride back to town.

Back in Skagway that evening, we took a ride on the White Pass and Youkon Route Railroad.

Scenic cruising in Glacier Bay National Park.

We viewed a glacier from our balcony on the ship, and got to see (and hear) ice breaking off the glacier and falling into the water!

View from the Spa on the ship (We spent a lot of time there!).

Ketchikan, Alaska

The Butchart Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia. A beautiful, beautiful place!
